What the factory release is like
Requiring a key or an object to open the hood release, most owners soon realize it’s a pain to have to remember to grab something just to open the hood.
The factory release can also be pushed in too far, allowing it to drop out of the holder and make it seemingly impossible to open without damaging the tractor.

Compatibility
Fits John Deere 1, 2, 3, and 4 series compact tractors. If you are not sure which series your tractor is, the model number on the loader frame or hood decal will tell you (1025R, 2032R, 3038E, 4044M, etc.).
